CURSO 17/18.

Within the subject Anatomía Aplicada (optional of 1 of bach), we have tried throughout the course, to introduce a gender perspective. In this sense, students have been doing different activities that can be exemplified in the following:

With regard to the study of the digestive system, nutrition, diets and related diseases, we have exposed the different prevalence of diseases such as anorexia and bulimia in female and male population.

Gender stereotypes, the importance of physical appearance in women. The social pressure exerted on them in relation to beauty, weight, age, can explain, with other factors, these differences.

In order to sensitize the students and make them reflect on these patterns and stereotypes, they were asked to choose advertisements, preferably about food products, and analyze them; focusing on the roles and patterns assigned to men and women in them.
